AAPG Student Chapter Officer Elections

Applications are open for TAMU students to apply for an AAPG Student Chapter Officer position. All positions (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Social Chair, Treasurer, IT Chair) are available.

Please find more information in the Resources tab. Applications are due by Friday, March 27, 2020.

be announced March 28, and will last for approximately 1 week (thru 11:59 pm on Friday, April 3, 2020).

Field Trip to the Ouachita Fold and Thrust Belt

Due to the spread of COVID-19, this field trip has been postponed to the Fall 2020 semester, tentatively for the dates of Friday, October 30 thru Monday, November 2, 2020.

Field stops will be within NW

Arkansas and eastern OK;

Waiver, Emergency Contact and our EHS packet/itinerary are available upon request for interested TAMU students.

The Elements of Chemostratigraphy: History, Techniques, Applications and Challenges through the 21st Century

From planetary geology, to environmental geology, to resource geology, the use of "chemostrat" helps us make sense of increasingly large, integrated geochemical datasets involving all aspects of rocks, including minerals, cements, organic matter and the fluids within them.

About us
The Texas A&M AAPG Student Chapter is officially affiliated with the greater American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) organization. We are student-run, and have membership which extends to undergraduate and graduate students interested in the petroleum geosciences at Texas A&M University.
